[origin: WO0238720A1] The invention provides liquid abrasive cleaning compositions for hard surfaces which are clear aqueous liquid gels comprising one or more detergent surfactants and macroscopic abrasive particles which are dispersed through the liquid. The gel and the particles preferably have different colours. The particles preferably have fairly uniform particle diameters of between 0.3 and 2.5mm. The invention also provides a process for cleaning hard surfaces comprising the step of applying a composition according to the invention to the surface.
