[origin: WO0244528A1] The invention relates to a four-cycle internal combustion engine comprising at least one cylinder (9), and a crankcase (3) forming a crankshaft pump, said housing being connected via one respective valve (15, 18) each to a fresh-air duct (16) and to an intake pipe (17) that links the crankcase (3) with an inlet duct (11) of the cylinder (9). The engine further comprises a container (25) for lubricant, disposed on a delivery device (26) for lubricant, an oil cycle that includes the crankcase (3) and an oil separator (19) that is disposed in the intake pipe (17). A device (23) injects fuel into the intake pipe (17) or into the combustion chamber (29) of the cylinder (9). In order to improve the constructive design, the delivery device (26) connected to the container (25) has a duct (27) for injecting lubricant into the crankcase (3) and the intake pipe (17) leads to the oil separator (19) while bypassing the container (25).
