[origin: EP1338229A2] The draw cord system uses a winding shaft (2) which winds up the draw cords (6) which are guided through eyelets in guide elements (5). The winding shaft is fitted with at least one entrainment disc (4) for one or more cords which pass through a recess (10) in the disc. The eyelets of the guide elements are angled away from the curtain (7) and the winding shaft is mounted by spacer elements (3) on the curtain rail (1) so that the cords lie in the recess in the disc in the tensioned state.
