[origin: EP1338725A2] Safety system comprises transverse roof girders (1) and slides (6) which slide onto the roof girders. The upper edge of a transverse roof girder holder (4) protrudes over or lies flush with the rafter plane. Preferred Features: Transverse roof girder holders for the roof girders and fixing elements (2) are joined together by welding and can be fixed in any position on the rafters (3). The transverse roof girder can be horizontally displaced by 70-97, preferably 95% of the length of the transverse roof girder holder. The components are made of corrosion-resistant metals, metals with weather-resistant coatings, or a mechanically loadable plastics.
