Abstract (en)

[origin: EP1338783A2] Arrangement comprises an injector (1) held in an opening (5) in a cylinder head cover (7) in a cylinder head. An adapter (3) fixed to the injector closes and seals the opening in the cylinder head cover. Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) Adapter used in the above arrangement; and (2) Process for assembling an injector in an opening in a cylinder head cover. The adapter is made in one piece with a socket molding of the injector. The materials of the adapter and the cylinder head cover have at least similar thermal expansion coefficients. A sealing element (11) is arranged in the axial direction between the adapter and the cylinder head cover.
