Disclosed is a recording apparatus comprising: an audio level detecting unit, for detecting an audio level L indicating the level of sounds collected by a microphone unit and for notifying a control unit of the detected audio level L; and a control unit for changing the rotational speed of a spindle motor in accordance with the audio level L.
