Abstract (en)

[origin: WO0228749A1] The invention relates to a fluid container and to means and a method for lining said fluid container. The aim of the invention is to provide a lining or covering for a fluid container which lining or covering can be examined for leaks, works reliably and stably over a long period and can be produced without complications. The lining or covering should especially be resistant to high container pressures without failures. To this end, the invention provides a lining that has a net-like spacing layer with individual threads arranged cross-wise relative one another, a fluid-impermeable film seal and a padding layer from foam material disposed between the film seal and the spacing layer. The free space defined by the spacing layer serves to monitor the container for leaks. The lining is used for lining a tank bottom, especially a flat-bottom tank, optionally also the tank inner walls, but can also be used to cover the exterior of the fluid container.
