[origin: WO0243374A1] The invention relates to a convergent box set consisting of a standard audio-video transmission cable and an electronic switch and control device which is arranged on both ends of the cable. The invention enables modern television and multimedia applications to be carried out on a commercial television set in a cost-effective manner without using expensive set-top boxes.
