Abstract (en)

[origin: EP1340939A2] Device for carrying out maintenance work on the secondary side of a nuclear steam raising plant comprises a lance moving in a gap between heating tubes (6). The lance supports a maintenance device, especially an inspection unit, on its free end, and is on a vehicle (16) which travels along a guiding track (12) at the periphery of the heating tube bundle. An Independent claim is also included for a process for carrying out maintenance work on the secondary side of a nuclear steam raising plant by using the above device. Preferred Features: The guiding track is flexible in the longitudinal direction and tensioned against the heating tubes by exerting a tensile stress. The lance can pivot on the vehicle.
