The or each manoeuvring mechanism comprises a first link rod (38) articulated relative to the structure (28) of the operating table, which link rod (38) is connected to a second end (36) of the actuator to be displaced at an angle, and to the plate (24) for displacing the plate (24) between its retracted position and its extended position.
