A base tab (116) adjoins each lower side wall element (120) and a folding tab (180) adjoins each lower side wall element (120) on the top side, a lid folding tab (24) adjoining the folding tab (180) on the top side. An upper side wall element (130) adjoins the lid folding tab (24) and a second lateral sticking tab (160) is provided. When the folding box (100) is in its folded state, the upper side wall elements (130) can be folded over outwards and pushed onto the lower side wall element (120) from above, in sections, causing the lid folding tabs (24) to be opened. The invention is characterised in that the first sticking tab (150) and/or the second sticking tab (160) is/are configured in the form of a wall element, with the peripheral contour and surface essentially corresponding to the peripheral contour and surface of the adjacent lower or upper side wall element (120, 130) that is connected by a first fold line (12) or a second fold line (28).
