Abstract (en)
[origin: WO0249047A2] The invention relates to an electrical component with a base (1), at least two connecting elements (4, 5) linked with the base (1), an intermediate layer (6) disposed on the surface of the base (1), and a protective layer (7) disposed on the intermediate layer (6). The intermediate layer (6) and the protective layer (7) are produced from the same solvent-containing starting material, with the intermediate layer (6) having a lower solvent content than the protective layer (7). The invention further relates to a method for producing such a component. It is especially advantageous to apply the intermediate layer (6) by spraying it onto the heated base (1) of the component, thereby increasing the voltage stability of the PTC thermistor.
