[origin: EP1342573A2] The ink supply control process includes phases at different printing speeds. During a phase in which the printing speed is raised, the roll traction is interrupted at one or more points, at least temporarily. A signal can be supplied to the control unit (21) which when the printing speed is increased, activates the setting devices (19, 20) to create a parting point (17, 18) in the roll traction.
