[origin: EP1342837A2] The press section to extract the water from a wet web (1), of paper or cardboard or tissue and the like, has a number of press gaps formed by paired rollers (8-12). A press section has a center roller (10) with flanking press rollers (8,12) and another press section is formed by two rollers (9,11). A web transfer belt (2) travels around several press rollers (8,9) to take the web from the water-extraction belt (5) and also form the two leading press gaps.
