[origin: EP1342862A1] A modular system for forming covering and cladding layers, characterised by comprising first elements of elongate form known as retainers, which are intended to be fixed parallel to each other to the structure to be covered, substantially flat second elements known as filler panels, which are intended to be snap-coupled along the facing sides of a pair of said first elements, and third elements of elongate form known as covers, which are intended to snap-engage those sides of said second elements which are coupled to the opposing sides of one of said first elements, in order to stabilize the surface continuity between pairs of second elements coupled to said first elements. <IMAGE>
