Abstract (en)
[origin: EP1342947A2] The method involves varying the size of the light field provided by a lighting unit (18) e.g. halogen lamp of a surgical light. The variation of the light field is then detected by a sensor (15) and a luminous flux of the surgical light is varied by a control and/or a regulation unit (30), so that the illuminance adopts a constant desired value. An Independent claim is also included for a surgical light.
