Abstract (en)
The watch has an inner twelve hour dial (12) with minute and hour hands (14,16) to show the civil time and an outer twenty four hour dial (13) with single hand (18) to indicate solar time. The solar hand is set by using an adjustment (20,22,22a) to allow for the actual longitude compared to the time zone longitude and also by using an equation of time adjustment (23). Sighting the sun with the solar hand gives the north position (13b)

Montre comportant des moyens d'affichage du temps civil (12, 16), des moyens d'affichage du temps solaire (13, 18) et des moyens de correction (24, 34, 36) des affichages. Dans cette montre, les moyens de correction sont agencés de manière à permettre le déphasage relatif des moyens d'affichage du temps civil et du temps solaire.
