[origin: WO02051618A2] The invention relates to an extrusion device for extruding thermoplastics. Said device comprises an extruder barrel provided with an inlet and outlet opening, and comprises a screw, which can be rotationally driven, which is arranged inside the extruder barrel and which is provided with a screw external thread. The extruder barrel and the screw correspondingly have a feed zone, which communicates with the inlet opening and inside of which the screw is provided with a constant or variable thread depth of the screw external thread, and the extruder barrel is provided with a smooth or slotted inner wall. The extruder barrel and the screw also have a plastifying zone that follows the feed zone in the direction of the outlet opening, whereby the plastifying zone comprises a shearing section, in which the extruder barrel is provided with an internal thread. The internal thread is placed inside the inner wall and extends in a direction counter to that of the screw external thread. The thread depth of the screw increases in the direction of the outlet opening, and the thread depth of the internal thread of the extruder barrel correspondingly decreases in the direction of the outlet opening.
