[origin: WO0249951A1] The invention relates to a drive system for escalators and pedestrian conveyors comprising at least one driving chain and interspaced deviating elements for the driving chain. The driving chain is connected via bolts to steps or pallets of the escalator or of the pedestrian conveyor, which are positioned between two joints of the driving chain and which are each provided with a roller.
