[origin: WO0246487A1] The invention concerns an installation for producing a metal strip with protective coating comprising a series of successive treatment sections in a continuous line. The installation comprises two coating sections, respectively B for galvanising, and C for painting wherein the strip follows an unwinding path (4, 6) having at least a vertical part (41, 64) provided with cooling or drying means. The installation assembly can be placed in a single building comprising a central tower and having two attached parts wherein are installed the two coating sections B,, C and two lower bays wherein are arranged, respectively, the supply A and the output D sections, with horizontal looper car systems (3, 7).
