Abstract (en)
[origin: EP1344607A1] The nail holder, designed to hold a nail while it is struck by a hammer, consists of a tubular handle (2) of an insulating material such as a rigid synthetic material or resin, having a magnet (4) with a guard (6) and ring (8) at one end and a striking plate (10) at the other, connected to the magnet by a screw (12). The ring can be threaded and interchangeable, and the guard can have a projection that acts as a screwdriver tip. The nail holder can be used to drive in nails without the use of a hammer, pushing in the nail by hand and then finishing the process with the striking plate.
