[origin: EP1344742A2] Process for ventilating a filled bottle sealed with an elastic stopper (10) comprises deforming the stopper inserted in the bottle opening so that an air outlet opening is produced in the sealing region of the bottle and stopper. An Independent claim is also included for a device for carrying out the above process and consisting of a squeezing device (23, 24) arranged on at least one side of the stopper and acting in a direction parallel to the plane passing through the bottle opening. Preferred Features: The squeezing device is arranged on two sides of the stopper which face away from each other. The stopper is deformed on insertion into the bottle opening and/or when inserted in the bottle opening.
