[origin: EP1344876A2] The purlin holder, for a roof construction, has a support (6) for straight or angled purlins (2) with an upper (18) and lower (16) member linked by a connecting web (4). The tubular support (6) bears against the connecting web. The tubular support has a polygonal cross section e.g. triangular, quadrilateral or as a parallelogram. The tubular support has at least three walls (8,10,12,14), where one wall is parallel to the lower purlin member, and one wall is parallel to the connecting web of the purlin structure, with wall profiles (20,22) matching the profiles (24,26) of the web.
