[origin: WO02053350A1] The method and device serve to blow mold containers made of a thermoplastic material. Parisons are firstly produced by an injection molding module (1) and are transferred to a blowing module (2) following their removal from the mold. The parisons (7) are positioned in the vicinity of the blowing module (2) by holding elements (8) that can be transported along a closed circulating path. The holding elements (8) transport one parison (7) at a time, and the holding elements (8) assume at least two different distances from one another along the circulating path (9). The distance of the holding elements from one another is modified by a distance modifier (13) in such a manner that, in the vicinity of a transfer device (3), which is arranged between the injection molding module (1) and the blowing module (2), the holding elements (8) are located at a shorter distance from one another than in the vicinity of a blowing station (10) of the blowing module (2).
