[origin: WO02051731A1] The invention relates to a device for suspended guidance of web or sheet material in a processing machine. The invention aims at providing a device such as the one previously described, which enables uniform pressure build-up for suspended guidance of web or sheet material along a guide surface and noticeably reduces the risk of blotting. This is achieved by providing a flow channel (5) having a guide surface (2) with a plurality of nozzles (1). Each nozzle (1) has a back and a front area. The back area has a depression (14) relative to the guide surface (2), said depression ending in an edge (17). Each nozzle (1) has a first blow hole (6) beneath the edge (17) and at least an adjacent second blow hole (7). The blow holes (6, 7) are adjoined by a guide surface (4) that continues onto the guide surface (2).
