[origin: WO0250059A1] The invention relates to novel azinyl sulfonylimidazoles of the formula (I), wherein R<1> represents hydrogen, halogen, cyano, nitro, alkyl, halogenalkyl, optionally substituted aryl or optionally substituted aralkyl, R<2> represents hydrogen, halogen, cyano, nitro, alkyl, halogenalkyl, optionally substituted aryl or optionally substituted aralkyl, or R<1> and R<2>, together with the carbon atoms to which they are bound, represent an optionally substituted ring, R has the meaning indicated in the description, and X represents halogen, alkyl, halogenalkyl, cyano or thiocarbamoyl. The invention further relates to a method for producing these novel substances and to their use for controlling undesired microorganisms.
