Abstract (en)
[origin: WO02053758A2] The invention relates to a method for producing a heterologous protein in a filamentous fungus and to suitable promoters therefor. The invention also relates to vectors and host cells and to a kit and the use thereof. The aim of the invention is to provide a method for producing a heterologous protein in a filamentous fungus, which allows the efficient production of heterologous proteins and in which a contamination of the created protein by vegetative spores is prevented. To achieve this, the invention discloses a method for producing a heterologous protein in a filamentous fungus, which comprises (a) the cultivation of a homothallic fungus of the Sordariaceae family, which contains an expression cassette with the following elements in a functional combination: a promoter that is active in the fungus of the Sordariaceae family; a heterologous gene and a terminator that is active in the fungus of the Sordariaceae family and (b) the harvesting of the created protein in a manner known per se.
