[origin: EP1220060A1] The device comprises two relatively movable support assemblies (18,20) for the watch case (1) and flexible strap (4) respectively. The watch case support assembly (18) includes two mutually opposite cam surfaces (38) that extend perpendicular to a fixing link on the strap. The cam surfaces act on the pivots of the link to retract them at least partly during the relative displacement of the support assemblies, bringing the pivots opposite holes in opposite surfaces of a recess in the watch case, to enable the strap to be mounted to the watch case. <??>Independent claims are included for: (i) a watch case having a pair of projections to which fixing links of the flexible strap are attached; and (ii) a semi-automatic mounting process for mounting the flexible watch strap to the watch case.
