Abstract (en)
In a car-top handrail unit for an elevator, a pair of fixed handrails is provided upwardly in an upper portion of a car being spaced apart from each other in a width direction of the car. One pair of end portions of the fixed handrails are positioned in the vicinity of the front end portion of the car and the other pair of end portions thereof are positioned in the middle portion in the depth direction of the car. Each of a pair of rotating handrails is rotatable between a closed position, in which they extend along the width direction of the car from the other end portions of the pair of fixed handrails and close the gap between the other end portions, and an open position, in which they extend in the depth direction of the car from the other end portions of the pair of fixed handrails. <IMAGE>
