[origin: EP1347120A2] Device for placing and removing a sheeting element comprises a compensation element (23) which is joined to a first and/or second sheeting element (21, 22) and has a unit to bring the sheeting elements together or to push them away from each other. The compensation element and/or the sheeting elements have a unit which moves the sheeting surface of the sheeting elements partially behind the sheeting surface of the compensation element. Preferred Features: The compensation element is formed in a column-like manner with openings (32) formed as connecting link guides which are penetrated by a pipe (28) which slides in a housing (24) on both sides of the compensation element.
