[origin: WO02055361A1] The invention relates to a device for locking the end positions of moving points components, in particular the moving tip (1) of a frog, whereby two pieces, axially displaceable relative to each other, may be moved in at least one displacement direction into a position coupled to each other in an interlocking manner. The pieces which move relative to each other are formed from a tube (5) and a rod (6), running in the tube and are at least partly arranged in a fixed outer tube (4). Locking members (8) co-operate with the pieces (5, 6), which move axially relative to each other and the outer tube (4) and may be moved in the radial direction into a locking position in a recess, or inner annular groove on the outer tube (4). Said device is embodied such that the outer tube (4) comprises two tube pieces (17, 18) which can move axially one within the other and each tube piece (17, 18) comprises at least one recess or inner annular groove (15, 16).
