Abstract (en)

[origin: WO0250361A1] The invention relates to a shirt smoothing device comprising a lower part (3) and an inflatable body (1) which is fixed thereon. The inventive device is of a considerable height as a result of the inflatable body which must be at least the same size as the shirt (19) which is to be smoothed. According to the invention, the rigid components in the area of the inflatable body (1) are lowerable so that the device can be handled more easily and, more particularly, so that it can be stowed away. As a result, an internally arranged supporting frame (5) and a button strip tensioner (13) arranged in front of the inflatable body (1) can be lowered after use into the lower part (3), whereby the inflatable body (1), which is exclusively connected to the supporting frame (5) at the top becomes folded. The same applies to flexible inflatable support bodies (2) and support nets (12) arranged between the inflatable body (1) and the supporting frame (5). The storage space required for the shirt smoothing device can be substantially reduced by the invention and the handling and storage thereof simplified.
