Abstract (en)
[origin: WO02053906A1] The invention relates to a fuel injection valve (1), in particular, for directly injecting fuel into the combustion chamber of a mixture-compressing, spark ignition internal combustion engine. The fuel injection valve comprises an armature (20), which interacts with a magnet coil (10), and comprises a valve needle (3), which is connected to the armature (20) and on which a valve closing body (4) is provided that, together with a valve seat surface (6), forms a tight seat. The valve needle (3) passes through the armature (20) as well as through an extension (15), which is provided on the armature (20), in order to enable a pin (32) to be inserted into a boring (34), which is located in the extension (15) of the armature (20) and which is aligned in an axially and radially congruent manner with a boring (35) located in the valve needle (3). Said pin is inserted into the boring (34) whereby forming an axial pre-travel gap (30) between the armature (20) and the valve needle (3).
