[origin: EP1350607A1] Motor-operated chain saw comprises an adjusting lever (36) and a brake band lever (18) pivoting on a pivoting axle (22) fixed to a housing. The brake band lever forms a two-armed lever having a first lever arm (26) facing an outlet spring arrangement (25) and a second lever arm (27) attached to the brake band (17). The adjusting lever extends from the second lever arm of the brake band lever and has a stop (43) interacting with the stop surface (44) on the brake band lever. Preferred Features: The second lever arm of the brake band lever is hung on the brake band and the adjusting lever runs past the brake band.
