[origin: EP1350899A1] The glass (2, 3) is laid essentially horizontally in a floor construction (5) and supported by a frame (6). The fireproof pane (3) is facing downwards and the edge regions (7) of the glass pane (2) rest on top of an essentially horizontal support surface (8) in the frame. Mounting strips (10) on the lower part (9) of the frame extend over the fireproof pane edge region (4) and provide support surfaces (11) separated from the outside surface (12) of the fireproof pane by a gap in the vertical direction.
