[origin: EP1350904A2] The profile for the connecting of at least two floor elements (1) has interacting grooves (10) and tongues (18a) on respective ends (2,4) of the elements, and corresponding locking elements (56,58) on each groove and tongue which in their vertical position fix two floor elements. The locking elements have bevelled contact faces, and either the tongue of the profile, or the groove and tongue, are elastically deformable. The groove and tongue form lock and especially in cone fashion.
