[origin: EP1350928A2] The variable operation device has a reciprocally movable linear cam (12) arranged in the drive train between an oscillating actuator (8,9) and the lift valve (3). The linear cam is pivotably linked to a pivoting lever (10) that is pivoted by the actuator and that has a pivot bearing that can be displaced transversely relative to its axis. The lever is mounted on an eccentric shaft (17) that can be rotated to shift the pivot bearing.
