[origin: WO02055354A1] The invention relates to an assembly element (5) for a foot parking brake (1) which is arranged in a vehicle. Said foot parking brake is disposed in the foot space on the driver's side of the vehicle and is secured in the connecting area between a front wall thereof (2) and a front wall pillar (3) by means of screw connections (7, 8, 9) being joined to components of the foot parking brake (1). The assembly element (5) is made of plastic to enable the components of the foot parking brake to be arranged for use in a vehicle in an easy and economical manner. The connecting points between the assembly element and the components of the foot parking brake (1) secured thereon (1) are embodied as metal inserts (6, 13) which are injection-moulded with the plastic of the assembly element (5). Said metal inserts (6, 13) are arranged in the region of the screw connections which secure the assembly element to the car body.
