[origin: WO02058365A1] A method for access to a computer based communications network, such as the Internet, includes the execution of an automatic procedure located on the memory units of the electronic apparatus which has to be connected by telephone to the access points of the network, the determination of a geographic area where access is required from, the automatic dialling of a series of telephone numbers memorized on the memory units of the apparatus, included in the above geographic area and referring to connecting points of a specific provider of access and use of a network, and a further automatic dialling of another series of telephpne numbers included in said geographic area and referring to different providers of access and use of the network, said automatic dials being stopped when one of the numbers dialled establishes connection to the network, or upon a checking of calls continuation after an established number of dials.
