[origin: EP1352683A1] A mixer comprises a rotating shaft (1) supporting a number of mixing blades (3) assigned to mixing sections, and scrapers (9) which scrap a wall of the mixer when the shaft rotates. The scrapers are fixed to the mixing blades and extend in the mixer section of a neighboring mixing blade. Preferred Features: Two neighboring mixing blades are displaced from each other in the peripheral direction. The scrapers are arranged on the ends of the mixing blades. The scrapers are aligned in an axis-parallel manner. The mixing blades support one scraper on the front end (17) and on the rear end (18) of a mixing blade. The scrapers can be pressed against the wall of the mixer in controlled manner.
