The window or door has a frame of a polymer material, with at least one inner hollow chamber (10) which holds an adhesive (4,41) to secure an inserted glass pane (3) or insulating glass pane or wood panel, so that the end side (30) is bonded to the frame (1) by the material and in a force fit. The dimensions of the hollow holding zone are set so that the forces exerted on the pane or panel are transferred directly to the frame, and heat convection is reduced.

Die Erfindung betrifft ein Fenster oder eine Tür mit einem Rahmen aus einem polymeren Werkstoff, wobei der Rahmen in seinem Inneren wenigstens eine Hohlkammer aufweist, einen in den Rahmen einbringbaren Flächentrageelement, wobei der Stirnseite des Flächentrageelementes gegenüber liegend wenigstens ein Aufnahmeraum angeordnet ist. Die Erfindung ist dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass der Aufnahmeraum einen Klebstoff aufweist, dass das Flächentrageelement über die Stirnseite stoff- und kraftschlüssig mit dem Rahmen verbunden ist, wobei der Aufnahmeraum so dimensioniert ist, dass die auf das Flächentrageelement wirkenden Kräfte direkt an den Rahmen übertragbar sind.
