[origin: EP1354806A1] The spacer, made from a semi-rigid material such as card or corrugated cardboard, is produced from a single flat panel that is cut and folded to make four side walls (1, 2, 2') and six inner compartments with double (9, 10; 9', 10') or single (8, 11; 8', 11') thickness inner partitions. The partitions are made from cut out and folded sections of the side walls, forming compartments of equal size for elongated articles such as bottles. The spacer can be used, for example, inside a cardboard box.
