[origin: EP1354807A2] The skid for a transportation case, pallet or suchlike is constructed from several similar or diametrically opposed elements (12a-12d) which are fitted together to form a skid. The skid elements on their end sections are equipped with toes (41,42) disposed at right angles, whereby the skid elements and/or the toes are hollow in construction, and the toes have honeycomb structure reinforcements (44). The hollow cavity of the skid elements may be trapezoidal or arc-shaped.
