Abstract (en)
In a paper manufacturing process a wet web of paper or carton (16) passes (L) through a drying section (14) with a number of drying groups (10, 12) of which one is arranged in two rows. The web passes from a single-row drying group (10) through a transition zone (I) to a twin-row drying group (12). In an alternative embodiment the wet web passes from a single-row drying group through a transition zone (II) to two immediately sequential twin-row drying groups (12). Web material (16) in a transition zone (I, II) passes through a drying sieve (18) in the next twin-row drying group (12, 30) directly from the last drying cylinder (20) in the preceding drying group (10, 20). Web material (16) in the upper drying sieve (18) is passed to the subsequent twin-row drying group (12). In each case, web material is supported by a suction box (22) as it passes through a transition zone between two drying groups (10, 12)
Abstract (de)
<IMAGE>
