[origin: EP1355057A2] The device for the recirculation of exhaust gas from an internal combustion engine has a cooling medium passage (30) formed by an exhaust valve housing and housing component assembled with it. At least one of the housings (11) on one axial side (31) has a recessed passage channel (32) open to this axial side as part of the cooling medium passage, and the other housing (22) is fitted by an axial face (33) on the axial side of the first housing having the open channel, thereby completing and closing off the cooling medium passage.
