Abstract (en)

[origin: WO02055274A1] The invention concerns a device wherein a spring (18) is interposed between the sliding carriage (6) bearing a driving hammer (13) and the actuator rod. The spring is mounted on the head (13) of a push rod, which bears a thrusting contact (16) enclosed with an isolating washer (17). A pad (20) is housed in the central opening of another washer (19) supported by the spring. Said detection means are activated when the spring is compressed in response to the stapling force required when a staple is positioned next to the mouldings of the frame to be assembled. The invention is applicable to frame assembling machines.
