Abstract (en)
[origin: DE10103027A1] The use of a solvent-containing two-component polyurethane binder (I) as adhesion promoter is claimed, where (I) comprises: (a) a hardener component containing an addition product of at least one organic polyisocyanate and an alkoxysilane (II) having at least one isocyanate-reactive group; and (b) a lacquer resin reactive with isocyanate groups. The use of a solvent-containing two-component polyurethane binder (I) as adhesion promoter (i.e. primer) is claimed, where (I) comprises: (a) a hardener component containing an addition product of at least one organic polyisocyanate (having an isocyanate functionality of 2.5-5.0 and isocyanate content of 8-27 wt. %) and an alkoxysilane, having at least one isocyanate-reactive group, of formula Q-Z-Si(X)a(Y)3-a (II); and (b) a lacquer resin reactive with isocyanate groups. Q = group reactive with NCO; Z = optionally branched 1-12C alkylene; X = hydrolyzable group (preferably 1-4C alkoxy); Y = 1-4C alkyl; a = 1-3.
