[origin: DE10103302A1] The invention relates to an electric domestic appliance comprising at least one sensor (20) for registering at least one operating parameter and at least one actuator (30) for influencing at least one operating parameter of the electric domestic appliance (2). The sensor(s) (20) and the actuator(s) (30) are electrically coupled to a central arithmetic and control unit (10) for controlling the electric domestic appliance (2). Said central arithmetic and control unit (10) is coupled to a communication unit, which permits wireless communication with an external remote station. In a preferred embodiment of the invention, the communication unit is a transponder (40) for wireless radio transmissions.
