Abstract (en)
The device has a deployable and retractable mast (3) forming a bearer for information devices (6), a viewing tube or snorkel for fresh air supply and/or waste gas outlet and an arrangement for deploying and retracting the mast. The outside of the mast has water guidance ribs (7) at intervals in its longitudinal direction at least on the water incidence side of the mast and extending in the peripheral direction of the mast.

Die Mastvorrichtung (4) für ein U-Boot (1) weist einen ausfahrbaren und einfahrbaren Mast (3), der als Träger für Informationseinrichtungen (6), als Sehrohr oder als Schnorchel für die Frischluftversorgung und/oder Abgasabführung ausgebildet ist, und Mittel zum Ausfahren und Einfahren des Mastes auf. Auf der Außenseite des Mastes (3) sind in dessen Längsrichtung voneinander beabstandete Wasserleitrippen (7) vorgesehen. Diese Wasserleitrippen befinden sich wenigstens auf der Wasseranströmseite (3a) des Mastes (3) und erstrecken sich in Mastumfangsrichtung (Fig.1). <IMAGE>
