[origin: EP1357033A2] The device has a housing with a band guide channel, a supporting roller (4), an idler roller (5), a clamping device (6) for the band end, a clamping device (7) for the delivered band (2), a band connection device (9) and a band separation device (8). The idler roller is mounted with its drive shaft rotatably and eccentrically located in a rotary shaft mounted on the housing side. The rotary shaft has rotation limiting stops, is attached to the drive or the drive together with the gearbox and its driven shaft is attached to the idler roller drive shaft.
